Sweden, Finland, Mongolia and Pakistan - new trips online!
Big tour update in Tanago travel calendar 2019:
We tour through Finland and Sweden from 15th to 23rd June 2019, calling it "Steam under the Arctic Circle". The two large Hr1 class express locomotives, the smaller sister Hv1, and a Tr3 class locomotive form the framework for our visit between Helsinki and Tampere. Full steam ahead with passenger and freight trains! Afterwards we visit the famous narrow gauge Mallett Tender Locomotive #12 in Jädraas in Sweden, as well as other steam railways north of Stockholm.
o We offer another trip to Mongolia for dedicatedphotographers who are interested in the country away from the railway. We have exclusive arrangmeents with eagle hunters and kamel herdsmen to allow photo shootings at day and night with eagles and camels. We have a stricly limited groupsize of only 8 photogrpahers on this tour! The date: from 30 September to 9 October 2019.
o Another highlight for which we already have many reservations is Pakistan with its broad gauge locomotives from 16 to 24 November 2019. 2 HGS with freight trains on scenically outstanding mountain ranges between Rawalpindi, Taxila, and Attock, plus one CWD and one SGS each at Lahore, visit to the repair works in Moghalpura. And finally some narrow gauge on the former forest railway in Changa Manga.
o on Saturday the 12th Jaunar 2019 another review of the Tanago tours 2018 will take place - this time at Bonn Beuel in the fire station 2, in the Marsstrasse 8 - 10.
