Mongolia 2019 - with 2 main tours !!

Our next two train tours to Mongolia have been published for the year 2019:

from May 25 to June 1, 2019, we will be running our proven mainline program for the last time.
And from the 26th of August to the 12th of September 2019 we shall be touring the branch lines and the Gobi desert with a completely new itinerary.

The mainline tour will take you to the best photo locations along the Trans Mongolian Railway: the Emeelt and Khonkoor passes, the wonderful passage through the Shatan mountains, and lots of typical Mongolian track south of Ulan Bator.
This itinerary has been offered by us for the 4th consecutive time - and we think we should the last mainline tour with this kind of itinerary for the time being. So if you want to experience the main route diesels at the best photo points again, you should read through the program. Here is the link!

Our branch line program in autumn next year offers a unique combination of almost all major branch lines in Mongolia plus the main route through the Gobi Desert.
As a special highlight we also visit the remote uranium railway in Choibalsan in the extreme north-east of the country.16 hours by car or 2 hours by air from Ulan Bator, the Soviet time is still alive here, including the semaphore signals along the way!
For best photo results, we even chartered a typical TEM2 hauled freight train exclusively for our group.
Visit to the branch lines to Erdenet and Sharin Gol are also scheduled in on our tour-program.
The third part of the modular set up journey is the visit to the Gobi desert. Here the largest and heaviest climb of the Transmongol is located, the double locomotives of all series have to fight against maximum load, steep gradients, and mother nature!
You can read all the details on our website!
