China: Tiefa & Sandaoling confirmed to run!
Our (most likely) last visit to China for steam will take place from 8. - 11. January 2020 visiting the SY locomotives at Tiefa, followed by a week at Sandaoling´s open cast coal mine with its hard working JS class steam locomotives (12. - 19. January 2020).
We will be the only Western tour operator running charter trains at Tiefa and look forward to the early morning and late afternoon shots on Tiefa´s bridges and dams. At the moment, SY1771 and SY1772 have been confirmed to be our locomotives for the charters. Both locomotives are among the last standard gauge steam locomotives ever built in China.
