Bosnia "Late autumn of steam locomotives" from 29.10. - 2.11.2019 - Tour is confirmed
In Bosnia, too, steam operation is coming to an end. The locomotives in the mines have less and less work to do, the state railroad diesel locomotives are at gunpoint and it is only a matter of time before the "steam runs out". In recent years, Bosnia has always been a worthwhile Tanago destination and our customers have never been disappointed.
This time we offer a compact and inexpensive full steam trip to the last Plandampf in Europe with many operational steam locomotives (there are still 5 Bosnian war locomotives of the 33er series (former DR class 52) available, 3 of them ready for operation, plus 62-125 and 62-111 (Yugoslavian replicas of the American war locomotive), the Skoda 19-12, and in the narrow gauge sector 83-158 and 83-157, 55-59 and 25-25. We try to get as many of the engines in front of the lenses as possible in the 4 photo days.
Perhaps you will experience for the last time the use of steam traction in the Balkans! This is already our fifth tour to the steam locomotives in four years to Bosnia.
Until 30 June 2019 there was an early bird discount, which unfortunately has now expired. We are happy to extend the special price until July 30, 2019, in order to enable other interested parties to travel at "early booking conditions". Where else do you get arrival (flight), hotel with half board, and so an extensive tour program - by the way with travel price protection bond ...
