7 December 2019, Saturday:
The Frankfurt Feldbahnmuseum is the scene of our last night photo shoot of the year! We want to start taking pictures of the three 600mm beauties (locomotives 3, 13, 16 – all in steam) in different positions directly in front of the locomotive shed and at the various facilities around 4 p.m. with the onset of winter darkness. We will use their „main shed“ to pose our steam locomotives in front of it. Due to the location of the museum at the outskirts of the big city, some higher buildings in the background look out: on weekends, the offices there are dark, but the modern neon sign on the roof could disturb us a bit... thus we made an arrangment with the billboard´s owner to switch it off that night!

A railway can nt operate without staff - and so typical scenes with locomotive driver and fireman will also be recreated for our night shots. We will reserve ample time for our shooting so that every participant of the photo group gets the same photo conditions.

With the Decauville, the Mallet and the E-Kuppler we have steamed up 3 of the most interesting locomotives of the museum!

The event ends around 20 o'clock. If you want to make the best use of your time, stay 1 night in Frankfurt and visit the Feldbahn on the following Sunday (December 8, 2019), which is a regular days out with their train(s)!

90 Euro for the photo shooting as stated in the program.

The Frankfurt Feldbahnmuseum is closed for regular visits during our photo shoot. The museum can be easily reached by public transport: it has its own bus stop "Feldbahnmuseum" with bus line 50! We thank Wolfgang Eilers for his pictures.
