50 2988 on the »Sauschwänzlebahn«

19. - 21. April 2019

Germany: 50 2988 on the »Sauschwänzlebahn«

The "Sauschwänzlebahn" runs from Blumberg-Zollhaus to Weizen over four bridges and through six tunnels over a distance of 25 km. It is the longest tunnel, the large stockpile, that gives the "Sauschwänzlebahn" its name: The route in the tunnel is reminiscent of a curled pigtail.

On Easter weekend 2019 we let it steam on the Wutachtalbahn. 50 2988 (1942 WFL) covered in addition several photo trains in the style of the DB, formed from 3- and 4-axle conversion cars plus luggage cars, as well as differently arranged mixed trains for us.
