At night at the Frankfurter Feldbahn

After the extremely successful night photo campaign in December 2019, we want to return to the Frankfurt light railroad in December 2020 and illuminate locomotive sheds, steam engines and some reanactors with our professional lighting equipment. We are planning with at least 3 locomotives under steam (#3 (Demetrias), #11 (HF 110 C), and #16) in the Bw area of the Field Railway Museum between 4 and 8 pm.

Limited number of participants!

5 December 2020, Saturday

The Frankfurt Feldbahn Museum is the scene of our last night photo campaign of the year! We want to start around 4 p.m. with the onset of winter darkness to photograph the 3 600mm beauties under steam (locomotives 3, 11 and 16) in different constellations directly in front of the engine shed and at the various treatment facilities. Frankfurt's light railroaders call three locomotive sheds their own, of which the "main locomotive shed" is still an older, photogenic building, in front of which we will position our locomotives.

The people who operate the trains are always part of the railroad, and so typical scenes with locomotive driver and stoker will be re-enacted for our night shots. We will take enough time so that every participant in the photo group will have the same optimal photo conditions.

With the "Demetria", no. 11 HF 110 C and no. 16 we also want to fire up 3 of the most interesting steam locomotives of the museum! So at least the "plan" - steam locomotives are old unique specimens, and a technical problem can occur at any time. In close consultation with the light railways, we'll find a replacement, but we can't be held liable for any failure. Please also note that although we are located on a well-kept company site, there are still the usual risks of a railroad site. Neither we, nor the Feldeisenbahn Frankfurt are liable for accidents!

The event will end at about 8 pm. If you want to make the best use of the time, stay another 1 night in Frankfurt and visit the field railroaders on the following Sunday, when a regular driving day (6 € entrance fee) is due!

charter price per person:

120 Euro for the photo shooting as stated in the program.

The Frankfurter Feldbahnmuseum is closed for regular visits during the time of our photo shooting. The museum can be easily reached by public transport: it has its own bus stop "Feldbahnmuseum" with bus line 50!
