Sicily was once home of a vast network of 950mm gauge narrow gauge lines but today only a stretch of merely 111 Kms are left.
While modern Polish railcars take over most of the regular services, there are 2 FIAT-railcars left, the so-called "Littorinas". One of them is still operational and we have booked it for 2 days of photo charters on the most scenic sections of the line. We will have another railcar dating from the 1960s to complete our activities on the Circumetnea network.

Your itinerary:
5. March 2018, Monday (individual arrivals):
Fly to Catania today. WE have not included the air ticket in the tour price to help you getting the best tailormade flight-connection from your home airport to Sicily. We are happy to assist!
We have booked an allotment of rooms in a very nice, centrally located hotel at Randazzo. The hotel is just 400 meters away from the station, but our allotment is not too big. If you want to make use of "our" rooms, please indicate that on the booking form!
All participants meet at the hotel for a joined dinner (not included).
6. March 2018, Tuesday - 8. March 2018, Thursday:
We will travel to the most scenic and photogenic parts of the line with our red FIAT Littorina railcar. It is not intended to cover the entire line - we will focus on the real highlights of the line and skip the rather boring parts at both ends.
One day, an other more modern railcar, for example an ADe15e, will be chartered for more photo action!
9. March 2018, Friday:
We return to the airport this morning, alternatively you can stay on the Island and enjoy more of the railway or the volcano!

Optionaly you may book a room from the Tanago-hotel-allotment: we provide rooms vin a good 3-star hotel from 5. - 9. March 2018 for 60 € per night sharing a double room, a single room is 120 € per night.

The tour price does not inlcude: tips, all expenses of private nature, international flights, visa.
This tour will be charged to us in foreign currencies. As currency fluctuations are common and we do not want to built in too many financial buffers, we reserve the right to adapt the tour price accordingly if upturns in the exchange rate valid on 1. September 2017 are becoming too extreme.
If you book a shared double room we will do our best to find a matching travel buddy. If this is not possible, we will put the single room surcharge on your invoice.
This tour will be operated by Tanago. The maximum (!) number of participants for this tour is 10. Please book early to avoid disappointments, latest by 31. March.
Climate & Technical stuff:
We expect temperatures from 10-20 °C, there is chance of a steadily blowing wind.
