The Waldviertler narrow-gauge railway runs along a varied landscape (ponds, forests, meadows, fields) from Alt Nagelberg over a length of 13 km to Heidenreichstein. About halfway there is a striking bridge structure and the Aalfang railway station with its historic ensemble. In addition to the preserved telegraph line, several farms also adorn the route.
For over 15 years, the Waldviertler Schmalspurbahnverein (Waldviertler Narrow Gauge Railway Association) has again made it possible to run authentic trolley trains, which is unique in Austria. Our freight train with passenger transport will be alternately covered with the 2091.09 and the 2092.04 and of course carry along a standard gauge car. Of course, the tasty goulash and the fluffy Kaiserschmarrn must not be missing.
