The following paragraphs describe your and our right and duties regarding the fulfillment of your vacation booked with us. We speak about "we", "us", and "our" when we mean Tanago GmbH as seller and tour operator, and about "you", "your", "traveller", or "travellers" when we mean you as a customer booking our tours.
1.) Program and Prices:
As described in the brochure, leaflets, correspondence or amendments notified to you and acknowledged by you.
Please forward a deposit per person of 10% of the tour&apo;s total price as shown on your confirmation/invoice within 10 days after having received the confirmation/invoice. Balances are required in time to pay suppliers, usually four weeks before travel. On specific tours, especially when we book with other tour operators, we may have to adjust the payment deadline to the other tour operator&apo;s regulations.
3.) Fidelity Insurance:
European law requires that all bookings are to be covered by Fidelity Insurance. This is a financial protection insurance, which protects your money until the holiday goes ahead. This is included in the holiday price. Our Fidelity Insurance provider is the Swiss insurance company "Zurich Insurances". Zurich Insurances guarantees that in the event of our failure your money will be protected; if you are on holiday at the time, arrangements will be made for you to complete your holiday and return home. Upon sending the invoice about your booking to you, we will include an insurance policy, issued on your name. Only after you have received this insurance policy, you are requested to pay the deposit.
4.) Credit Cards & cheques:
We are not able to handle cheques. If you like to pay by credit card, we can offer you a Paypal payment which includes a 2.3% surcharge on the total amount of our invoice to cover the Paypal-fees. Please use our IBAN and SWIFT/BIC numbers for a secure wire-transfer to our bank-account.

6.) Passports, Visas and Health:
Travellers are responsible for holding the necessary and appropriate travel documentation for their journey. Please ensure that your passport has at least six months remaining validity and at least one unused page for additional visa stickers or entry/exit stamps. All information given on our website and other published documents is based on German law. If your passport is of another country or state, or shows restrictions on return to your country of origin please contact us prior to booking and well in advance of intended use. We can not be held liable for any problems traveller may face due to incorrect travel documents, including visa.
You should seek professional medical guidance before the tour starts. Where security risk exists or arises Foreign Office and tourist board guidance will be sought and passed on.
Health advice is dependent upon the destination, medical history and current health of each person and we cannot assume any responsibility. You MUST seek advice from your doctor or a travel medical centre.
Prices are determined against known exchange rates, fuel costs and tax regimes prevailing at the time the tour itinerary was published. In the event of significant changes we must reserve the right to amend prices. We act as booking agent for the service providers whose terms and conditions of booking and carriage apply, copies will be secured upon request.
8.) Travel Insurance:
Travellers are responsible for possessing a sufficient travel insurance coverage but we are willing to advise. We can not be held liable for any problems traveller may face due to a missing and limited insurance coverage.
9.) Schedules, equipment & services:
We book and advertise tours in good faith. Many scheduled railway organisations, only work a limited number of month ahead and cannot confirm final schedules to us earlier, resulting in occasional rescheduling or rerouting. The nature of steam trains is that breakdowns, delays and substitutions have to be accepted. Every genuine effort will be made to ensure that the tour runs as planned and advertised, or as close to as possible.
In many countries at times of exceptionally dry weather, coal fired steam locomotives may be banned from operating and diesel or electric traction may have to be substituted. Oil fired steam locomotives however are normally still allowed to operate. We cannot accept any responsibility for steam bans during high fire risk.
No liability will be held for writing or accounting errors in all forms of communication.
Some tours include porterage between station and hotel, some include full luggage transfers between hotels, using either a supplementary road coach or scheduled "˜luggage in advance" facilities. Porterage, where advertised, is included in the cost. However, on most tours porters will not be available or included, and it will be each passenger&apo;s responsibility to handle their own luggage.
Depending on the nature of the tour, accommodation may vary from 4-star designated hotels to very basic accommodation, if no other (better) accommodation is available or if better accommodation seems to be not applicable for the tour.
12.) Food & Drinks:
Meals will be taken on trains, boats, planes, in hotels and restaurants and even picnic or packed. If you have any special dietary requirements please ensure that you let us know them at the time of booking to ensure we can arrange them for you. Some of our tours include alcoholic and soft drinks and coffee - this is clearly stated, and otherwise guests are responsible for their own refreshments.
13.) Jurisdiction: Your contract with us is governed by German Law and jurisdiction is conferred on German courts.
